FDA-Recognized Breast Implant Complications

Breast augmentation surgery is increasing. More and more women are choosing to have their breasts enlarged through breast augmentation and breast implants. Is there anything wrong with that? Nope. Is it legal? Of course! Are there dangers? Of course! The FDA has compiled a list of possible complications arising from breast implant devices. This article will discuss some of them.

When you have breast implants installed in the pockets of her chest, her breasts are bigger, fuller and firmer. It is an ideal solution for any woman who wants bigger breasts. Although the FDA has approved certain breast implants for free use in cosmetic surgery, its use is not without risks. There are a variety of problems that could occur as a direct result of the implants. While most women with breast implants enjoy your new breast size without any problems or complications, this is not always the case.

Asymmetry is one of the many complications that can arise as a direct result of their breast implants. What does the asymmetry? It refers to a chest is bigger than the other, or perhaps a different way. It could also mean a combination of both. If this happens with one of her breast implants, the most likely get your implant removed and replaced. If this occurs many years after their breast augmentation surgery, the surgeon will recommend replacing the implants.

Capsular contracture is a condition when the breast tissue and grows around the implant device. Scar tissue forms around the implant begins to constrict, often resulting in sensitivity and pain. The implant will become the company. Over time, the implant will continue to harden to the point that must be removed completely. In essence, capsular contracture is the body's reaction to the implant.

There are several preventive measures that can be exerted to help prevent capsular contracture. The first is the use of an implant with a textured surface that is thought to reduce the incidence of scar tissue around the implant. Partial sub-muscular or sub-muscular total implant placement tends to reduce the risk of capsular contracture by 10% or more. Also believed to be minimal handling of the implants during surgery reduces the risk of capsular contracture (only the surgeon will be able to handle the implants).

Galactorrhea is a condition in milk production. This can sometimes occur after breast augmentation surgery. In most cases, the breasts stop producing milk at the time. Some cases require medication to stop milk production. In the worst cases, the implants must be removed to treat the complication.

Moving a breast implant occurs, and is very noticeable if the implant is anatomically shaped implant (in the form of a real breast.) If a tour round implant is not obvious and usually harmless. However, the round implants have been known to get out of his pocket and slipped under the breast completely, producing a rather unpleasant and uncomfortable for women. The only solution is displaced implant corrective surgery.
